I created this blog to hold all of my strategies, thoughts, ideas, and stories about dealing with depression and escaping to my happy place. I am going to place a note here that I am not a doctor and have no authority to give medical advice. Any suggestions on this site are examples of what has worked in my life specifically. 

I have been dealing with depression officially for almost three years. Unofficially, who knows. I’ve been the person who can’t get off the couch to take care of simple tasks. I still suffer from the effects of not having any desire or willpower to make good food or sometimes any food at all. I’ve had complete meltdowns where I hate myself and all I want at that moment is to find a way to stop the pain. On the other side, I’ve known joy and love. I have played in the sunshine with my children and made a beautiful homemade loaf of bread. Please know that it can seem like there is nothing but a sea of bad days, but better days are coming. Just hold on a little longer. There is always hope, even when you can’t find it.
